                            Bob Armstrong                                                 
 Bob Armstrong  took  over directorship of the Boise Community bAND  from its founder and conductor, Fred Dart for the 2015 season AND DIRECTED THE BAND THROUGH THE 2019 SEASON.  Bob was the associate conductor and played in the Trumpet section during the BCB 2014 season
 
His affiliation of Community Bands and Orchestras goes back to 1980 when he developed and was the musical director of several ensembles including the Anchorage Community Band 1980 - 85, The Lewis Clark Community Band 1985 - 89, Treasure Valley Community Band 1989 - 02  and the Treasure Valley Symphony 1990 - 2016.     Prior to retirement from Treasure Valley Community College in 2012 as the Director of Instrumental Music,  Bob had developed and was the music director the Treasure Valley Symphony,  The Treasure Valley Community Band  and the TVCC Jazz ensemble.

His formal education includes:  B.A. of Music Education, University of Alaska Fairbanks, M.A. of Instrumental Music Conducting, Washington State University.  Phd in Music Education, Columbia Pacific University.
  As a music educator, Bob has taught all levels of music, including elementary, middle and high school and has studied most all the woodwinds and brass instruments on the undergraduate and graduate level.
